You truly have a way with descriptions. I've just finished Zelda's novel Save Me the Waltz and searching for anything to read that involves her. Bruccoli's works on the Fitzgeralds are excellent. She sent 'Save Me the Waltz' to Fitzgerald's publisher. One delight of the Relay season in SL is the many proms and balls. I'm having a bit of a love affair with the Fitzgerald's at the moment. It's all for a good cause, too. This is my somewhat belated contribution to the Film Preservation Blogathon, which ends today. Today after Mass and after Zumba I had a lot of work to do but I did a tiny bit of thrift shopping. In fact, he copied portions of Zelda's diaries directly into his work. One that works well is Scott's confrontation with Zelda about submitting her novel, “Save Me the Waltz,” to his editor, Scribner's Max Perkins, without letting Scott read it first or even telling him that she was sending it off. I mean I stopped into a Goodwill. Eventually, Zelda was hospitalized–and it was while she was recuperating in a Baltimoreclinic that she wrote a novel, Save Me the Waltz, which drew upon the events of her marriage.
